Gizmo has secured $22 million in Series A funding to expand its AI-driven learning platform, which converts student notes into interactive study materials. The round was led by Shine Capital, with participation from Ada Ventures, Seek Investments, GSV, and NFX.
CEO Petros Christodoulou indicated the company will use the funding to grow its engineering and AI teams and expand its presence in the U.S. college market. Since launching in 2021, Gizmo has scaled to over 13 million users across 120 countries, driven by its AI-powered approach to personalised learning.
The platform uses gamification techniques such as streaks, leaderboards, and challenges to improve engagement, reflecting a broader shift toward AI-enhanced, interactive education models aimed at younger digital-native users.
