“AI slop” was named word of the year… are people just tired of AI content now?

I came across this recently and it got me thinking “AI slop” literally became a thing people use to describe low-effort, mass-generated content and once you notice it, you kinda can’t unsee it, generic posts, same tone, same structure, same “insights” as someone trying to create stuff online, it makes me wonder are people actually getting better at spotting this? or do most audiences still not care as long as the content is useful / entertaining? and more importantly, where do you draw the line between “using AI as a tool” vs just producing noise?

how people here think about it, especially if you’re building/marketing online
